Le prestigieux concours britannique Ocean Photographer of the Year a désigné Ben Thouard photographe de l’année 2022. Découvrez le magnifique palmarès de cette compétition !

L’incroyable image de Ben Thouard – magnifiquement composée et pleine de texture et d’action – montre un surfeur luttant contre l’une des plus grosses vagues du monde, Teahupo’o, qui se traduit par “mur des crânes”. Choisi parmi des milliers d’envois du monde entier, ce cliché a fait l’unanimité parmi les six juges de renommée mondiale parmi lesquels Paul Nicklen, David Doubilet et Cristina Mittermeier.

Plusieurs nouvelles catégories ont été ajoutées en 2022 : vie sauvage, beaux-arts et prix de la connexion humaine : l’homme et l’océan. Le prix du photographe pour la protection des océans a été divisé en deux catégories : espoir et impact.

Le concours Ocean Photographer of the Year a une mission simple : mettre en lumière la beauté de l’océan et les menaces qui pèsent sur lui. Il est organisé par le magazine Oceanographic.
